Open Access Policy

MyJMS is a fully open-access journal. All articles are free to read, download, and share the moment they are published — no subscription, no paywall, no embargo.

Open Access Statement

MyJMS provides immediate open access to its content, in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of every article without asking prior permission from the publisher or author.

Licensing

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Under this license, anyone is free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

…provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, with a link to the license.

No Fees for Authors or Readers

MyJMS charges no submission fees and no Article Processing Charges (APC). Publication is free for both authors and readers. This is sometimes called the “diamond” or “platinum” open-access model. Should this policy ever change as the journal scales, it will be announced with at least six months' notice and will never apply retroactively to manuscripts already under review.

Copyright

Authors retain full copyright of their work and grant MyJMS the right of first publication. Authors may deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories immediately, with a link back to the original article in MyJMS. See the Copyright & Licensing and Self-Archiving pages.

Archiving & Preservation

To guarantee long-term availability, published issues are deposited with the National Library of Malaysia (PNM), and the journal is enrolling in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a LOCKSS-based digital preservation service.
