Submission Guidelines
The Malaysian Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (MyJMS) welcomes original, unpublished work across all academic disciplines. Please read these guidelines in full before submitting. Manuscripts that do not follow the format below may be returned without review.
1. Before You Submit
- The manuscript is original, not published, and not under review elsewhere.
- All co-authors have approved the submission and meet authorship criteria.
- The work follows our Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.
- Any substantive use of generative AI is disclosed (see Section 6).
2. Manuscript Template
Prepare your manuscript using the official MyJMS template — one-column, APA 7th edition. Both formats produce the same layout; choose whichever you are comfortable with, then export to a single PDF for submission.

3. Manuscript Structure
Arrange your manuscript in the following order:
- Title Page — title, author names, affiliations, ORCID, corresponding author contact
- Abstract — 200–250 words, unstructured
- Keywords — 4–6 terms
- Introduction
- Literature Review / Related Work
- Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (if any)
- Declaration of Generative AI (if used)
- References — APA 7th
- Appendices (if any)
4. Formatting Requirements
- Length: 3,000–8,000 words (excluding references).
- Referencing: APA 7th Edition for all disciplines.
- Figures & tables: numbered sequentially, cited in-text, with captions and source attribution.
- Language: English (British or American spelling, used consistently).
- File: one PDF containing full text, tables, figures, and references.

6. Declaration of Generative AI
MyJMS permits the responsible use of AI tools. AI cannot be listed as an author, and authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work. Any substantive use must be disclosed in a short statement placed before the reference list. Routine grammar or language checking need not be declared. 7. Copyright & Licensing
Authors retain copyright and grant MyJMS the right of first publication. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. See the Open Access Policy.
